My Summer Playlist 2013.

Every year I create a new summer playlist on my phone made up of all the songs that I can constantly listen to without getting bored of them. I mostly listen to music when I'm on the go, blogging and in bed as I like to have some sort of background noise to go to sleep to.

This year, my playlist has been quite varied so I thought I'd share some of the songs that I've been loving. Not all of them came out over the summer and most of them are songs that I've discovered that have been out for a while (I'm one of those people who are always the last to hear a song), or songs that I've loved for ages and decided to add in.

I thought I'd list my favourites in band/artist categories to make a bit easier to follow as well.

  1. Fall Out Boy

I have both Fall Out Boy's Save Rock and Roll and From Under the Cork Tree albums in the playlist, I missed old Fall Out Boy as I hadn't listened to them since I was about fifteen and then I bought their new album (which I LOVE) out of curiosity seeing as it was a comeback album and because of the few songs I'd already heard. So, in no particular order my favourites are:

It's really difficult to describe what I love about these songs because it's a mix of everything. The beats behind them, the lyrics, the vocals themselves, and the whole composition of them. They're so easy to listen to and oh my god are they good workout songs.
Some of my other favourites from this album are 'Where Did The Party Go', 'The Phoenix' and 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up.' As for their first album that's also in the playlist, there isn't a single song on there that I don't like.

Paramore

This song, I have Megan to thank for this song. I've never really listened to Paramore properly before, only heard a few of their songs and never really made a huge effort to find out more. But now, I shall. I've had this song stuck in my head constantly and it's so catchy and upbeat and yeaaaah.

Bastille

I can literally listen to their whole album on repeat over and over because it is so freaking good.
I downloaded it when it first came out and haven't gotten bored of it yet. I love every song on there but for the purpose of this blog post I shall add the Pompeii video right

about

here.

Imagine Dragons

Radio-freaking-active is such a tune. And I won't lie, I have Dan and Phil to thank for this one and Radio 1 in general for playing it and introducing it to me. I love it so much, it was on in New Look earlier and I couldn't leave until it had finished. It's such a powerful yet chilled out song and it will remain in my favourites for a long time.

The rest of my playlist is made up of One Direction, some old Scouting For Girls tunes, some Olly Murs and Taylor Swift. (I did say it varied!)

I hope you enjoyed this little look into what music I like to listen to. My music taste has changed so much over the last year as I've opened my ears a little bit and ended up loving artists and songs that I never thought I would.

Until next time, have a good day! :)
