This is probably going to be very long and waffly as A LOT happened and I had one of the best weekends of my life.
Saturday
We got there pretty early and queued for a bit before being able to skip ahead because we already had our wristbands. Once we were in, we headed straight for the Dan and Phil line because meeting them was our main priority and anyone else we decided would just be a bonus.
So, an hour and a half wait ensued and then it was my turn.
I walked up to them and Dan asked if I wanted a hug, which was a stupid question. I was very awkward and couldn't think of a single thing to say apart from "it's so nice to meet you!" to which he awh'd in response while I hugged Phil and then we took photos and it was just a generally lovely meeting.
Next we queued for Joey Graceffa, who was so lovely. It was a really quick meeting so there's not much more to tell. I shall insert the photo now.
After Joey, we thought we'd go watch a few panels so we headed to the mainstage where PJ was doing a film showing and Q&A, this was one of my fave panels and the boy is a genius. It was so interesting to hear how he thought of ideas and what went into all his videos.
We then stayed there for the rest of the time to watch the Becoming Youtube panel. This was very 'edutaining'. All the panelists had strong opinions and it made me think about what type of Youtuber I want to be. I still don't know, but it kinda gave me the boost to push myself and really put an effort into future videos.
On our way out we bumped into a very tired but lovely Jim Chapman who was going round and round in circles to meet us all, something that he really didn't have to do.
Sunday
We got there a bit later today and I headed off the where the volunteers went while Megan went and joined the normal queue which I felt really bad about (sorry Meg!) But yeah, I got in and found out I was on the meet and greet team woo! I got to pick where I wanted to be so I went for the lovely Jack and Finn. They were super sweet and happily took a photo with me after they'd finished. Then me and my new friend Racha took the big bag of their presents to the green room and went over to Jack to see where he wanted it all. He walked over with us and thanked us for all the help and asked us our plans for the rest of the day and said he hoped we enjoyed it and was just generally a real cutie.
Next up we had Hank Green who I didn't really speak to but I had a chat with his wife and that was lovely.
Then we snuck off and went to the Jack and Finn panel and they came in while we were the only three in there and it was all really chill and we sat with their cousin, Eliza who was also very lovely. They sat on the edge of the stage and just went 'well thanks for coming to our panel, best turn out we've had so far! 3 more people than last year woo!' and then everyone else came in and the moment was over boo :( but we had quite an in depth conversation with Eliza about how the popularity as affected them all and it was quite nice that we got to interact with them just as two lads rather than it being all 'OMG IT'S JACK AND FINN!' I asked them a question during the panel and it was all fab and funny and yeah lol.
I then headed back to the meet and greet area to help out a bit with Tyler Oakley and he was fab and (if you don't guess the next word I'm going to use then idek) lovely! I wasn't able to grab a photo with him at the end because he had a panel to be at but it was nice to meet him all the same!
Once I was done there I met up with Megan who was late because she'd just met Zoe, Louis, Jim, Joe and Troye. We hung around in the food/other meet and greet bit for a while just chillin and stuff when Megan suddenly spotted Chris Kendall aka Crabstickz! We sort of shuffle over quietly and ask for a photo and as Megan is getting the camera out a swarm of fangirls rush over and he goes 'I can't do this sorry,' and turned back around. But then my lovely volunteer team leader came up to us and told us there would possibly be a small Chris m&g at half 6 but it was all very hush hush. So we waited around and then got told where it was and it was the most chilled like quiet meet and greet and we had a little chat with him and apologised for causing a swarm to descend on him and he was just cute and gave the best hugs.
Then we just wandered and chilled and relaxed and watched Tom Milsom on the main stage before deciding we were getting tired and decided it was time to go. I popped to the loo and then went into the green room to see if I could find any of the organisers to thank but no one was in there. Instead I met Zoe and explained that my friend had tried to get a message for me earlier but it cut off and wondered if I could have a quick photo. She was so nice about it and was like 'of course!' and got Alfie, Joe and Jim all lined up and scootched me into the middle bless her. Then I grabbed a quick photo with Marcus who was so friendly and tall. And then I asked Tyler if I could have a photo as I didn't get to earlier and he was so up for it and got Troye to take it and he was like 'that is so cute!' and he thanked me for all my help earlier and was so genuine.
And then we left and came back to the hotel and I feel so so happy and lucky and I'm so grateful for everything I got to do and everyone I got to meet today!
