February Favourites

I realise it's the 7th March, slightly late for a Feb Faves post but I'm going to do it anyway because there's lots I loved last month so here we go.

The first thing I've been loving is the Hand Food hand cream by Soap & Glory. I got for this Christmas in the big set and it has been my saviour. Where I work, I have my hands in fridges a lot and found that the skin over my knuckles was becoming dry and sore from the cold. I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to try Hand Food out and I am so impressed with how soft and moisturised my hands are now and it smells so good! I haven't had dry skin for weeks, definitely my new must have!

Next up is the Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. I bought this a while ago when I started to wear eyeliner properly (after finally getting the hang of applying it) but found it hard to control and get neat with it being very liquidy so switched to a gel liner instead. I revisited this in February and somehow managed to apply it far better than before and prefer this over anything else now. I like to draw the line in with a black eyeshadow that's easy to wipe off if a mistake is made and then go over with this to define it. It stays on all day thanks to it being waterproof and comes of easily with my Clinique cleanser.

MAC Omega Eyeshadow is something else I have revisited in February and found it's true calling. I bought this back in August last year after very excitedly going into a MAC store for the first time (at the time we didn't have one where I live) and not really knowing what to buy. I recognised the shade from many Tanya Burr tutorials and thought it was a safe neutral shadow to go with as a first purchase. It stayed in the bottom of my makeup bag for a while, until the other week when I got round to sorting out my eyebrows and realised that as much as my brows are quite full anyway, it is the PERFECT shadow to give them a little bit of definition. So now that's what I use it for and it's not to light so it's noticeable and not too dark so my eyebrows look super scary. I'm glad I found a good use for it though because I fear it'd still be hiding somewhere in my make up collection right now if I didn't.

Last of the cosmetics themed favourites is the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer. I'm a huge fan of all the Baby Lips lip balms so after testing the primer on my hand I had to by it. It literally leaves your skin feeling as soft as a baby's bum and works brilliantly as helping makeup stay put for a long period of time.

Next up is a hair product and it's the VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray. This was one of those products that I bought on a whim because it was 3 for 2 and I love me some texture. I don't actually think I could live without this now, it is fab for my hair because I'm somewhere between wavy and curly (thanks to my mother who has a lion mane for hair.) Once my hair is completely dry, usually I leave my hair to dry naturally to enhance the curly/wavyness, I spray it all over and scrunch my hair with my fingers. It gives it volume and makes me feel happy about my hair so yay!

Three things to go, I did say I'd been loving a lot. Sorry!

Company magazine is next on my list. I go through phases with magazines and usually the one I love and buy religiously ends up being shut down. If a magazine could describe me though it would be Company. It's got beauty, fashion, celebs, career help like hello that it perfect! It revolved a lot around social media and blogging and YouTube and it's my monthly must have. That's pretty much all I have to say about this one. I just love it! I also guess it's not really a Feb fave because I buy it every month but I just needed to say how much I like it.

The penultimate thing in my February Favourites is the BBC. Oooooh yeah. Not as in like the TV channel or anything. I went on a tour a few weekends ago and LOVED it. For someone who is so interested in media and wants to work there so badly it hurts I was so so excited to just be in the building. I'm going again this weekend because it was so ace and Meg wants to do the tour too. It's very history based so I was a bit disappointed with the lack of technical stuff you find out but it's still a brilliant experience so I recommend you do it if you're into that sort of thing and want to find out a bit more about it. I went a bit crazy in the gift shop, which is very reasonably priced might I add, and bought a TARDIS blue notebook, and a Radio 1 pen, badge and lanyard. I know, when am I ever going to use a Radio 1 lanyard? I don't know but I got it anyway!

Okay so last but not least, is The Vamps. They're all so pretty and they're music is fab and I'm a little bit in love with them and yes. I've fallen for the charms of a boy band yet again.

P.S Brad's my fave.
